NASA Explorations

Learn about current National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) explorations with Kevin Hutchison, Madison’s Solar System Ambassador, at the Verona Public Library on Thursday, June 16, from 7 to 8 p.m. Hutchison will discuss Mars exploration, the Rosetta Mission, and the upcoming Juno Mission, which is scheduled to visit Jupiter on July 4. Hutchison will also talk about photos from the New Horizon Mission and collaborative work between NASA and other countries’ space agencies.
The Solar System Ambassadors Program (SSA) is a public outreach program designed to work with motivated volunteers across the nation. These volunteers communicate the excitement of space exploration missions and information about recent discoveries to people in their local communities. SSA is sponsored by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, an operating division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a lead research and development center for NASA.
