National Voter Registration Day

press release: The city of Madison Clerk’s Office is collaborating with organizations across the community to offer voter registration drives on Tuesday. Partner organizations include Urban League of Greater Madison, United Way of Dane County, Madison Public Libraries, and the Badgers Vote Coalition at UW-Madison.
Two community hubs will offer other resources in addition to voter registration. The event in United Way of Dane County’s parking lot at 2059 Atwood Ave. will include United Way 211 staff who can provide assistance in finding access to needed social services.
The community hub at Urban League of Greater Madison’s Park Edge Park Ridge Employment Center at 1233 McKenna Blvd. will include staff from Urban League’s Employment Services, Urban Triage’s Eviction & Housing Support Services, All of Us Wisconsin, and the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin. There will also be free food and a DJ at this community hub.

As a non-partisan national holiday, National Voter Registration Day counts on thousands of partners and volunteers from every state in the country and represents nonprofits, businesses, libraries, campus groups, and more.
Started in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote.
