press release: Marcus Theatres is offering something for ghosts and goblins of all ages this October, with two Halloween-themed film series at select locations. Beginning Oct. 6, classic horror favorites from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s will return to the big screen during the Fright Night Film Series. Admission for these movies is just $5 per person. Not-so-scary family titles will be shown during the Flick or Treat Film Series for just $3 admission per person.
Showtimes for Fright Night films will be Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m., and Flick or Treat titles will play on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. Titles, dates and showtimes are subject to change. For more details on specific showings, visit: http://www.marcustheatres.com/
October 6-8: “Night of the Living Dead” – Not Rated: The dead come back to life and eat the living. Several people barricade themselves inside a rural house in an attempt to survive the night. Outside are hordes of relentless, shambling zombies who can only be killed by a blow to the head.
October 13-15: “Friday the 13th” – Rated R: A group of camp counselors is stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while trying to reopen a summer camp which, years before, was the site of a child's drowning.
October 20-22: “Nightmare on Elm Street” – Rated R: A group of teenagers are terrorized by Freddy Krueger, an evil being from another world who gets to his victims by entering their dreams and killing them with gloves that have knife blades attached to each finger.
October 27-29: “Halloween” – Rated R: A young boy kills his sister on Halloween of 1963 and is sent to a mental hospital. Fifteen years later, he escapes and returns to his home town in order to wreak havoc.
