Nuestras Historias (Our Stories)

media release: Midwest Mujeres is a local Latina nonprofit organization, and we are hosting a virtual Lunch hour National Hispanic Heritage Zoom call. Join women from Milwaukee, Janesville, South Madison, y Tejas!

Come and celebrate with Midwest Mujeres from Milwaukee, Janesville, South Madison, and Tejas! Enjoy an exciting lunch hour filled with tips and previews of our storytellers!

Meet the women in this exclusive preview event! Help us help them--get some practice speaking to a virtual audience!

Meet our special guests:

Gabriela Parra, immigration attorney, business owner, and daughter of Mexican immigrants, will share her vision for an American Dream that honors nuestra identidad, our culture, and the opportunities we create for others as we rise.

Shelene Zarate, a singer, dancer, actress, and bilingual radio host from Mexico City, brings her love of music, storytelling, and community to the conversation.

Expect tips for bilingual storytellers, stories that spark possibility, and time to connect. Bring your lunch, your questions, y tus ganas de compartir!
