media release: After quietly captivating sold-out audiences across the globe, Victoria, B.C.-based duo Ocie Elliott are preparing for their most extensive and ambitious U.S. headline tour to date. The 37-city fall run starts on September 25 in Kelowna, B.C. and wraps December 1 in Nashville (all dates are below). Today, the pair (Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy) return with a new single called “Adelina,” a song about a fictional heroine inspired by legendary musicians and personal idols – a fitting release to follow their debut appearance at Newport Folk Festival. They elaborate, “‘Adelina’ is a representation of those special people who hone that extra something inside of themselves to carve their way through the barriers of the tangible world, prying doors open for others in their wake."
Ocie Elliott pens tunes that feel lived in. Their experiences as a couple pour into a living and breathing vision for 21st century folk amplified by alternative nuance and unassuming pop appeal. They’ve amassed hundreds of millions of streams and have seen their songs featured multiple times in Grey’s Anatomy, in addition to sync placements on New Amsterdam, NETFLIX’s Sweet Magnolias, and more. Along the way, Ocie Elliott packed countless headline shows and shared stages with Joshua Radin, Sons of The East, Kim Churchill, and Hollow Coves.
