Only Rain Down the Drain!

from city of Madison Engineering:

Join us for the fourth annual Wisconsin Stormwater Week! Wisconsin Stormwater Week is a collaborative effort of organizations throughout the state that work to raise awareness about the sources of stormwater pollution. Governor Tony Evers signed a proclamation establishing September 19 – 27, as the 2026 Wisconsin Stormwater Week. Wisconsin Stormwater Week is the SAME week as National Stormwater Awareness Week, and this year in addition to sharing educational resources with the statewide effort, we will be providing additional content from our stormwater experts in the city of Madison Engineering Division!

You can expect the following from Engineering on our social media and blogs:

• Blog Panel on stormwater Topics each day
• Social media videos about specific stormwater projects and programs

Sign up for the blogs from the experts.

The week-long effort includes free educational webinars for WI residents and homeowners. These webinars provide backyard stormwater pollution prevention practices and regional resources for residents to get involved.

• Wed., Sept. 23 (6 - 6:45 PM) Only Rain Down the Drain! Jayne Jenks, Waukesha County conservation specialist, will speak about the county’s Adopt-a-Storm Drain Program and how to get involved. Volunteers, Sue and Marge, from the program will speak about their experience!
