Orquesta SalSoul Del Mad

press release: On November 12, Project 1808 will be partnering with Madison’s favorite Latin Soul band Orquesta Salsoul del Mad for a Latin jazz rumba and dance night at The Crossing on University Ave.

“Bringing together the fire of Latin rhythm and the groove of soul. Orquesta Salsoul del Mad will have young and old dancing in the aisle and on the ceiling.” says band leader, Alfredo Rodriguez.

This is the third installment in Project 1808’s Pan-African Music Sessions concert series with this month highlighting the strong connection between the music and culture of Latin America and Africa.

There is a $10 general admission fee and a $5 fee for students. All proceeds from the event will go to Project 1808’s programs supporting education and community livelihood in the Koinadugu District of Sierra Leone (West Africa).
