Parenthood: The Early Months
UnityPoint Health-Meriter Business Center 2650 Novation Pkwy., Madison, Wisconsin 53713
Are you expecting your first baby or is your baby just a few months old? Becoming a parent is an enormous life change. Even the easiest baby is solely dependent on his/her parents twenty-four hours a day. Have you asked yourself questions such as:
· What kind of assistance from friends and family will be the most helpful?
· How do I adjust to being home alone with a new baby?
· What might help me most as I learn to breastfeed?
· Are most moms happy they chose to breastfeed? Why?
· Will I ever get a good night's sleep again?
· When does the weekend come?
· Do I listen to the book or listen to my baby?
· How can we keep our relationship as a couple strong?
· How do we find ways to each have some “me” time?
· How will we find childcare we can trust?
· How will we regroup when Mom goes back to work?
· What are some time-saving tips that will help us accomplish routine household tasks?
Join our Mother Baby Hour facilitators, Lori and Kris, along with a panel of parents of young babies who will share what worked, what didn't work and how they navigated the early months of new parenthood. This 1.5 hour forum is intended for parents who are expecting a baby or living with a baby who is less than 6 months old. (You are welcome to bring your baby along.)
