The Paul Dietrich Jazz Ensemble makes their first Madison appearance in more than a year at 7pm on Sunday, July 16th at the Bur Oak. This performance, featuring entirely Dietrich's original music, showcases an 18-piece band made up of many of the area's best jazz musicians, including David Cooper, John Christensen, Megan Moran, Jason Kutz, Pawan Benjamin, Jamie Kember, and Jessica Jensen. This performance will also feature a bittersweet feature of the group's longtime lead alto saxophonist, Allen Cordingley, who will be departing for a new job in Texas later this summer.
