Paul Hastil & PHfactor

press release: Prairie Music & Arts invites area jazz enthusiasts and local musicians to the 2016-2017 Jazz Series at 798 Lois Drive in Sun Prairie. The first event in this year's series is on Saturday, October 1st and will feature Madison's own Paul Hastil, a veteran pianist of the area's jazz scene, and his band PHfactor.

Hastil has been in demand as a keyboard player since relocating to Wisconsin over 20 years ago from his native New York City. Hastil is a member of the New Breed, which hosts a weekly jam session in Madison, and can be heard with many local vocalists including Gerri DiMaggio and other groups such as the Ben Ferris Quintet. Joining him will be Madison-area musicians Paul Dietrich (trumpet) and John Christensen (bass), as well as Milwaukee's Devin Drobka (drums). The band will play a mix of new, original music from each member of the band.

The concert will take place at 7:30 pm at Prairie Music & Arts, 798 Lois Drive in Sun Prairie. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased through the Prairie Music & Arts website or at the door.
