WORT, Madison’ longtime community radio station, celebrates the year of its birth with a 1975 throwback prom. With period-appropriate music from the disco-funksters of VO5, dance instruction for “The Hustle” and the “Electric Slide,” crowning of King and Queen based on best ’70s costumes and honoring of Rockin’ John McDonald, the only DJ who’s been with the station since the beginning.
