from the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison newsletter:
“Into the Light” is the theme and title of our Winter Serenade concert series in December.
During the darkest time of the year, it is always helpful to remember that the light will return to us; it will come back to us and brighten our days.
Our choral director, Clare Malinowski, wrote this to describe our season: "The Philharmonic Chorus of Madison welcomes you to our annual Winter Serenade "Into the Light". This immersive concert experience will wrap you in winter songs, inviting you to both enjoy and sing along with the music we share. Come hear winter holiday favorites and songs that guide us towards finding light even in the darkest months. We are thrilled to be premiering an original piece composed by one of our chorus members and prestigious composer, Jon Nelson.
Friday and Sunday's concert will feature appetizers, desserts, and mingling while Saturday's concert will simply be filled with music and mingling. Join us and you are sure to be filled with light and joy."
We will be sharing our Winter Serenade concert series, “Into the Light,” on Friday through Sunday December 4th, 5th, and 6th:
—Friday, December 4, Monona Terrace
Appetizers and mingling at 7:00 pm, concert at 7:30 pm
—Saturday, December 5, Covenant Presbyterian Church
Concert at 2:30 pm
—Sunday, December 6, Monona Terrace
Appetizers and mingling at 2:00 pm, concert at 2:30 pm
Tickets for our Friday evening and Sunday matinee Monona Terrace concerts are $50 for adults, $30 for students, and $10 for children 12 years and under.
Tickets for our Saturday matinee concert are $25 for adults, $15 for students, and free for children 12 years and under.
May we help to bring some light —figuratively and literally, with a sort of light show— into your Winter season.
We love to sing, we live to sing, for you, with you.
On behalf of the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison, we look forward to greeting you,
—Kim Huff, Vice President and Alto
