Pink Halo: Summer Wuestenberg, left, and Julian Russell.
media release: Pink Halo is a dynamic indie-pop band hailing from Madison, Wisconsin. Known for their energetic and engaging live shows, they will carry you through danceable beats and bass lines, to slow emotive ballads. Summer Wuestenberg (lead vocals) and Julian Russell (guitar/keys) write, record, practice, and produce everything in their Eken Park apartment, usually accompanied by their cat, Baby, who will occasionally provide creative input. Over the past five years they have been writing and honing their sound to finally release their debut album Daydream. Check out the lead single "Je Ne Sais Quoi" on YouTube.
In a live performance, Pink Halo brings each track to life with a five person band consisting of Matthew Allen (drums) Jared Norton (bass guitar/synth bass) and Joe Waldbillig (guitar), and will lead you on a musical journey through catchy ear-worm riffs and hooks. You won’t be able to resist dancing and singing along!
It's All You Cowboy is a solo project turned full band led by Frankie Furillo. Blending yatch rock, bedroom pop and soul influences, It's All You Cowboy showcases a powerful, energetic live performance backed by witty lyricism, stacked vocal harmonics and glockenspiel mayhem.
Ladyslipper is a vocally-driven, five-piece indie folk pop group. Featuring unexpected harmonies and carefree lyrics about appreciating the natural world sandwiched between fists-up political fight songs. Their sound feels liminal, bridging the novel and reminiscent, singing spells of a better world. From acapella quartet, to acoustic trio, they’ve morphed into a full band featuring Peggy McCrumb (vocals, guitar), Luna Pluer (vocals, guitar), Annie Apples (vocals), Evan Nelson (bass), Rob Murphy (drums), and for a limited time Matty B Allen (percussion).
