Prairie Restoration Volunteer Work Day

press release: Madison Area Master Gardeners Association and the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area are looking for prairie restoration volunteers for a work morning on Friday, July 20 from 9 am - noon.  

The prairie is located just outside the doors of the Lussier Family Heritage Center at 3101 Lake Farm Road in Madison. Tasks include planting, watering and weeding.  No prior training or skills necessary. Come for an hour or longer as your schedule permits.

Bring drinking water and wear appropriate sun protection.  All equipment is provided, including gloves, but bring your own if you prefer.  Restrooms and additional drinking water are available inside the Lussier Center.  Contact Clare with questions at 608-224-3606 or carlson.clare@countyofdane.com.
