Madison Pop Fest
with Proud Parents, Real Numbers, Pollinators, Jonesies, Exploration Team
High Noon Saloon 701A E. Washington Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
Madison might go overboard branding concerts as “fests,” but this indie pop concert promises to be a great night for fans of the Smiths or Belle & Sebastian. Slumberland Records’ Real Numbers (Minneapolis) will headline, joining forces with Proud Parents, Pollinators, Jonesies and Exploration Team. Call it whatever you want, but don’t miss it.

press release: We are very proud to announce the 2017 Madison Pop Fest. We have put together a stellar lineup that showcases the very best indie pop bands from Madison. We are also excited that very special guests Real Numbers from Minneapolis will also be playing. The festival will be held at the High Noon Saloon, on Thursday 16 February.
The bands: Real Numbers - Sweet jangly pop with a '60s mod feel. The band has just release a full length album on Slumberland records, one of the best and most respected indie pop labels in the world. They have toured across the US and Australia. They are simply one of the finest indie pop bands around right now.
Pollinators – Local three piece that play bitter sweet pop songs. They released a tape last year on Rare Plant records to rave reviews. With their great pop hooks and intelligent song writing, that brings to mind bands like Teenage Fanclub or Weezer, this band always puts on a great show.
Jonesies - A Madison twee pop band. The band play minimalist yet catchy songs with male / female vocals. They combine playful, deadpan lyrics with sweet and sometimes bratty vocals.
Exploration Team – A new band, featuring members of Automatically Yours. Exploration Team play driving yet jangly pop songs in a Camera Obscura style with nods to classic '80s pop bands like The Smiths.
