Quadeca released Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, back in July, and it seems likely it will be a resident of many year-end best-of lists. The multi-instrumentalist seamlessly blends gentle singer-songwriter folk, hip-hop, electronic textures, choral vocals and other elements into a dizzying and dense yet coherent concept album. It’s a long way from his start as a tween in the 2010s, posting video game content on YouTube. With Rozey. This one’s officially sold out, but last-minute tickets may be available at ticketmaster.com.
media release: Producer, singer, rapper, and visual artist Quadeca has officially announced his heavily anticipated upcoming album and visual project, Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, will be arriving this July via his own label X8 Music. Vinyl pre-orders are now available and set to ship out in July . Along with this exciting announcement, he’s also released his third single from the album, “FORGONE” with an accompanying music video - LISTEN/WATCH HERE.
The creative maverick first revealed the project’s title during his performance with Kevin Abstract at last year’s Coachella Music Festival. “FORGONE” continues to build on what’s shaping up to be the most ambitious chapter of Quadeca’s career, following a landmark 2024 where he released his critically acclaimed project Scrapyard, which earned a 9/10 from Anthony Fantano’s theneedledrop. That same year, he produced Sky Ferreira’s cover of Lady A’s “Need You Now” - performed at Coachella with Kevin Abstract and collaborated on Kevin Abstract’s and Lil Nas X’s collab single, "Tennessee". In 2025, on top of his self-produced solo album, Quadeca has executively produced Kevin Abstract's new album "BLUSH" which features the likes of Dominic Fike, JPEGMAFIA, and Danny Brown - slated to drop this month. Over half a billion streams and views later, he’s cultivated a cult-like fanbase drawn to his boundary-pushing sound. “FORGONE” is an eight minute opus of a single that only pushes those boundaries further. A delicate, reflective piano line intertwined with ethereal choral voices sets a contemplative tone, gradually giving way to rich, gospel-inspired harmonies. The track’s mood shifts as its soulful depth intensifies, with layers of vocal resonance lifting the melody skyward. Subtle at first, gentle percussion elements weave into the arrangement, building momentum beneath the serene piano. As the song unfolds, the rhythm becomes more pronounced, merging seamlessly with the melodic motif. In its final moments, the combined force of piano, choir, and percussive accents surges to a majestic crescendo, blending spirituality and emotional intensity into a unified, uplifting climax.
Directed by Quadeca himself, the music video for “FORGONE” mirrors the song’s emotional weight and introspective tone through sweeping, cinematic visuals. It opens with a tranquil shot of ocean waves rolling toward a shoreline, where a wooden piano—emblazoned with Quadeca’s Vanisher, Horizon Scraper logo—rests alone. Quadeca slowly approaches from the sea and begins to play, his performance deeply expressive and focused, even as a dramatic mountain backdrop and passing seagulls emphasize the beauty surrounding him. As the song builds with haunting strings and violin, the tension peaks when he places his head in his hands, visibly anguished. He then leaves the piano and walks directly into the rising tide, pushing forward until he’s partially submerged, before the camera cuts back to the still piano—restoring the scene’s initial tranquility.
Quadeca has also added 2 additional North American and 6 E.U. / U.K. shows to his upcoming Vanisher, Horizon Scraper tour. The 31-show fall tour will kick-off on September 30th in San Francisco with stops in Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Houston before wrapping up the North American run on November 7th in Los Angeles. E.U. / U.K. tour dates will start on December 7th in Berlin with stops in Amsterdam, London, and Glasgow before wrapping up in Dublin on December 15th.
