Reimagine Resistance
Brix Cider, Mount Horeb 119 S. 2nd St., Mount Horeb, Wisconsin 53572
media release: Friends, family, and fellow citizens -
Join us for an evening of remembrance, storytelling, and music as we celebrate what democracy has meant to us—the freedoms we’ve cherished, the struggles we’ve shared, and the ideals we still hold dear. A pastor will preside over the service, and Uncle Sam himself will be present, lying in state, as we invite everyone to share a few words about what they love—or once loved—about Democracy.
All are welcome at this free, public event. Expect some laughter, maybe a few tears, likely some poetry, and definitely some music. The visitation starts at 6 pm. Come dressed in black if you wish—or in red, white, and blue if you still believe in the promise of democratic values in America.
All are welcome as we remember what once was, and reimagine a future that honors Democracy’s gifts.
Reimagine Resistance is an ongoing grassroots call to come together—heart, mind, and body—in response to the political, social, and environmental crises of our time. True resistance rises not only in protest but in the weaving of bold action, gathered community, unflinching truth, wild creativity, and tender care. It is a living tapestry, crafted in defiance of the violence, greed, and cruelty that haunt our world, and stitched with the belief that a more just and compassionate future is always possible. You are welcome to attend this free and open event.
