About the Revitalize Gala
This year marks a significant milestone for Black Men Coalition as we host our 2nd annual Revitalize Gala, an event dedicated to raising funds for our diverse and impactful programs. The gala is not just a celebration but a call to action for those who share the vision of empowering and revitalizing communities through targeted initiatives. The funds raised will be channeled into our vital programs such as Education, Financial Literacy, Supported Employment, Transportation, and Youth Baseball — each designed to address specific needs and foster sustainable growth.
Our Education program focuses on bridging educational gaps by providing free certificates in 20+ different areas through a collaboration with eCornell, ensuring individuals have the tools needed to succeed academically and beyond. Our Financial Literacy program which we operate inside of Dane County Jail for those coming home through a collaboration with Summit Credit Union, as well as a program in the community through a collaboration with BMO is aimed at equipping individuals with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions, a cornerstone for building a secure future. Our Supported Employment program assists in breaking down barriers to employment, offering training and support that lead to meaningful job opportunities. Our Transportation services are crucial in ensuring community members can access these programs reliably and pursue opportunities without the hindrance of mobility issues. Additionally, we started operating a Transportation program at UW Hospital and Clinics providing transportation to their employees. Lastly, the Youth Baseball initiative nurtures physical health, teamwork, and discipline among the younger generation, instilling values that transcend the playing field.
