About the symposium:
From the Middle Ages to the present and from Middle Europe to the Middle East, Jews have been negotiating spaces in which to live and to thrive, sometimes with and sometimes without the help of their non-Jewish neighbors. This symposium brings together both expert faculty and graduate students around the theme of negotiating space, shared and not-so-shared, public and private, historically and in the present.
Made possible by the vision and generosity of Debra and Richard Sincere.
The symposium is free and open to the public.
