Rick Steves
UW Memorial Union-Shannon Hall 800 Langdon St., Madison, Wisconsin 53706
As a television personality and author of more than 50 travel guidebooks, Rick Steves encourages Americans to travel “like a temporary local” and explore the richness of new cultures. It’s no surprise that a lifetime of globetrotting has shaped his worldview as well. A social activist and philanthropist, Steves will give a talk on “travel as a political act.” Prepare to have your horizons broadened.
