press release: Royal Jelly is a jazzy pop rock foursome put together by front woman, Leah Brooke, just before the beginning of this year. The group has crafted a sound unique to the Madison scene with their intuitive rhythm, melodic bass lines, and a synthesizer keyboard that can go from decorative ambiance to dinosaur cricket with the push of a button (you'd have to be there). Brooke's moody song writing is rich with literary angst and dry wit delivered by a voice that you won't soon forget and has earned her several nominations for the MAMAs! The group's days are numbered as Brooke has plans to relocate to Austin, Texas, at the end of the summer so each show is a rare chance to catch Royal Jelly before they are gone for good.
