press release: presented by Mad Gael Productions. RUNA has been enchanting audiences for years by pushing the boundaries of Irish and Scottish traditional music since they first formed back in 2008. Vocalist Shannon Lambert-Ryan, guitarist Fionan de Barra, percussionist Cheryl Prashker, mandolin player Dave Curley and Maggie Estes on the fiddle combine for lush harmonies and a unique sound rooted in traditional Celtic music but influenced by blues, jazz, bluegrass, roots and even flamenco music.

The group has been honored internationally, winning Top Group and Top Traditional Group at the Irish Music Awards and an Independent Music Award for Best World/Traditional Song.
