Sensory-Friendly Halloween
media release: Madison Children’s Museum welcomes children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or sensory challenges to experience the museum during Sensory-Friendly Hours. This program brings families together to learn through play in an environment shaped to meet their needs. Enjoy free admission this evening, wear your costume, make Halloween crafts, and trick-or-treat. Museum exhibits are open for exploration.
Additionally, SSM Health, GHC, and UW Health will join forces to provide a free vaccine clinic for attendees, with providers who specialize in administering vaccines to children with sensory processing challenges and fear of needles. All current COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will be available, as well as seasonal flu shots and standard childhood vaccinations.
Sensory-Friendly Halloween is free, but pre-registration is requested. This event is presented in collaboration with the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin.
