press release: “My Maslow 2013 was a journey, and exploration in the depths of motivation for me and; what I learned is that motivation factors, influences, and triggers are so unique for all things that I find it difficult to put in to words what works and doesn’t work for me specifically. It’s like trying to compare apples to numbers, or numbers to scents. It’s a total disconnection from what we know and what we think we know that inspires us to the things we do.
Abraham Maslow, (UW – Madison PhD in the field of psychology) describes in his “Theory of Motivation” paper, different ways to get the best result of our choices based on key motivators. I help describe the sentiment in photographs. My images are labeled with key motivators (How I felt when I experienced these things.) The best decisions should bring us closer to self-actualization, the best result may be achieved by surrendering to complete satisfaction of one’s primary needs. (Biological, Safety, Belonging, Esteem, Cognitive, Aesthetic 什么的...).” -Shia Fisher
