The unique spirit and sound of SistaStrings is an experience that is hard to put into words. The Milwaukee, WI based sister-duo combines their classical background with R&B and their gospel-singing upbringing in an almost alchemical way. With thick string harmonies between violin and cello, improvisation, and soulful voices, SistaStrings takes you on an exquisite journey!
SistaStrings is dedicated to creating social change through Monique & Chauntee’s musical gifts. They are advocates for diversity in the arts and focus on equity and access, especially for youth who want to grow and express themselves musically. They are powerful change agents and we applaud and support their mission.
While our beautiful building on Atwood Ave in Madison, WI is currently closed, our Threshold Wheelhouse captures and re-envisions an online hosting platform for events featuring exceptional performers and presenters, artists and makers. Help us support these excellent musicians as well as sustaining and growing our venue, which offers them a home and a stage.
