Originally scheduled to play The Majestic, Sleep Theory has generated enough buzz with its debut album, Afterglow, to warrant a move to The Sylvee. Blurring anthemic hard rock with metalcore and propelled by the soulful and emphatic vocals of Cullen Moore, the Memphis-based band released a total of nine singles between 2023 and 2025 — amassing more than 300 million streams. After touring with the likes of Shinedown, Falling in Reverse and Beartooth, Sleep Theory is now on its first headlining tour. Fellow genre-benders Nevertel and Stray View open.

Today, they are sharing the video for new single "III."

The song is a thrill ride, mixing synths and raucous riffing with the band's signature, stadium-sized melodies.

"At its core, 'III' is about betrayal," shares Moore about the intensely personal subject matter. "It's that gut-wrenching feeling when someone you trusted completely lets you down. The song dives into that pain, but it's also about facing the truth, even when it hurts and realizing not everyone is who they say they are."

He continues, "I want people to really think about who they let into their lives. Not everyone deserves your trust, and sometimes, those closest to you can do the most damage."

However, the song is meant to inspire hope and to find the positives that are embedded in a painful moment. Moore finishes, "But beyond, it's about learning from those experiences rather than letting them break you. If this song helps someone feel less alone in that kind of situation, then it's done its job."

"III" follows "Static," which peaked at No. 16 on Spotify Viral 50 in the U.S. and is the band's fastest-growing song to date, with over 12 million streams since its release. The album's lead single "Stuck In My Head" ascended to the No. 1 lot on the Active Rock radio charts — a first for the band! The song is currently No. 26 and building at Alternative radio. All told, Sleep Theory have accumulated 300 million streams across nine singles in their brief but blockbuster career thus far.

Sleep Theory will embark on its first-ever headline tour, kicking off on May 20 in Birmingham, Alabama and winding through the U.S. before wrapping on June 28 in their hometown of Memphis. The band has also booked appearances at select festival dates.  Support will come from Nevertel,  Oxymorrons, and Stray View. 

Hailing from Tampa, Florida, hard-rock innovators Nevertel – Jeremy Michael (vocals), Raul Lopez (producer/rapper) and Alec Davis (guitar) – announce their new album 'Start Again', out September 12th via Epitaph Records.

The trio also share the addictive lead single “Criminal” featuring glitchy production and thunderous instrumentation, anchored by an irresistibly catchy hook. With lyrics that confront intense emotional and mental pressure, frontman Jeremy Michael explains, “Criminal” explores a time where I lost control of who I was and was struggling to hold onto who I used to be. Blurring the lines between nu-metal, hip-hop, and alt-rock, Nevertel are refining their genre-hopping formula with razor-sharp precision. With their upcoming debut full-length on Epitaph, the trio brings a new perspective, honed from a four-year process of constant reinvention. On Start Again, the band explore themes of second chances, reinvention, and finding new purpose after destroying old versions of yourself. As they push to be better in every aspect of their lives - personally, musically, and as a unit - Start Again is a sonic representation of that growth and a testament to Nevertel’s commitment to evolution.

Considered by the band as “a record we’ve been trying to write for years,” the thirteen tracks on Start Again are puzzle pieces of older and newer ideas spurred by the Nevertel crew. During the writing process, the band noticed a recurring thread of crashing, burning, and new beginnings, born of songs like “Starting Over” which has roots as far as four years back. Undergoing multiple transformations before finding its final form, songs were scrapped, revisited, and reworked, mirroring the lyrical journey the band portrays throughout the record.

Recorded in sessions across Los Angeles, Nashville, Memphis and their home state of Florida, the making of Nevertel's new album marks a significant shift for the band. Internally produced with Raul Lopez at the reigns, they also worked with outside collaborators for the first time, including Dave Cowell (Sleep Theory) and Gianni Taylor (Bring Me The Horizon). Coming from a DIY background, the band found the experience to be a valuable learning opportunity that helped them grow as musicians. A key aspect of this collaboration was an unconventional songwriting approach, where sessions began with conversations rather than music. This approach allowed the band to explore deeper themes and lyrics, resulting in a more nuanced listening experience.

Nevertel were united in 2014 by an unbreakable bond and a shared passion for music. Leading with an emphasis in quality in everything they do, they currently sustain over 124 Million catalog streams (1.4M weekly) and continue to build on their online community of over 600K social media followers. After independently releasing multiple albums, EP’s and singles, they signed to Epitaph Records in 2024 and saw another dream become reality. Now with their new album Start Again, the band are on a mission to inspire other people to make great changes in their lives.
