St. Louis-born rapper/singer Smino excels at blurring the line between hip-hop and R&B. His 2018 project, NØIR, however, shatters it completely. Each song — especially St. Louis love song "We Got the Biscuits" — playfully  splatters rapped verses and softly-sculpted melodies across lovely sonic canvasses, switching between the two with capricious joy.
