POSTPONED: The Sound of Music

press release: We are postponing "Sound of Music" performances with the hope and intention to reschedule our performances prior to the end of the school year. This will of course depend on public health concerns with the coronavirus.
Please hold on to your tickets. If the future time or date does not work for you or we are unable to reschedule, refunds will be available, if you request them, or you can donate the cost of your tickets to support the fine arts at Edgewood High School.
More information will follow at a later date when there is no longer a large group public gathering concern.Thank you for your support and understanding.

This inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulant who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain Von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold in 1938 Austria, Maria and the entire Von Trapp family must make a moral decision. The Sound of Music was the final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become one of the most beloved musicals of all time. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards in 1960 for the Broadway production and five Oscars in 1966 for the motion picture.
