CANCELED: Space Force: Forbidden Isthmus
Are We Delicious?
6:30 pm on 3/21 and 1 pm, 3/22. $15.
press release: A cadre of ultra-conservative space explorers crash land in a familiar Midwestern college town / state capital and encounter an advanced race of liberals. It’s a galactic battle of political wills.
Inspired by sci-fi classics such as Forbidden Planet, Dr. Strangelove, and Plan 9 from Outer Space.
Starting with the barest outline, the Are We Delicious? ensemble writes and rehearses an original comic play in only one week. It’s a mad dash to opening night as scripts are written, costumes sewn and lines learned. Packed with wit, wisdom and a lot of giddy energy, Are We Delicious? is always fresh and a little dangerous, and when the curtain rises, a wonder to behold.
