Join us at the LGBT Senior Alliance quarterly social for dinner and a presentation by Colonel Swokowski. Retired Colonel Sheri Swokowski shares her journey of secretly being transgender. The joys and sacrifices of coming out, and the courage to be her authentic self are highlights. She will share with you her lifelong struggle to be her authentic self. She takes you from her childhood in a conservative Wisconsin town, through her enlistment in the military as a young man, a distinguished military career, and finally to where she is now. Her amazing story is not, as some might think, uncommon.
Dinner is served at 5:30 pm and Colonel Swokowski will speak at 6:30 pm. The recommended donation is $10.
