Memorial High School Jazz Orchestra, Neophonic Jazz Orchestra

5/2: JAMES MADISON MEMORIAL (JMM) HIGH SCHOOL SPRING SWING.  This annual fundraiser provides almost all of the funding for the school’s jazz program.  This year’s program includes performances by the JMM Jazz Orchestra directed by bassist Ben Ferris at 7:00 PM and the Neophonic Jazz Orchestra directed by Stan Kenton alumnus Joel Kaye (formerly the Madison Mellophonium Jazz Orchestra) at 8:00 PM, with free pre-concert swing dance lessons (6:30 PM) by UW’s Madison Swing.  Buchhauser Auditorium at JMM High School, 201 South Gammon Road, Madison.
