Stairwell Music, The Band Raddish
Wil-Mar Center 504 S. Brearly St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
Concert admission $4 general public, $2 members.
media release: Stairwell Music is the sound that would happen if Johnny Cash, George Michael and Alicia Keys got together to form an unexpected but surprisingly cohesive group. The group consists of Kirk Stone on vocals and drums (formerly of the Stone Barone Band), Hannah Kimyon on vocal leads and high harmonies, and Nashville recording artist Barry Wayne Callen (The Gospel of Fun, formerly with Bounce!) on guitar and bass vocals.
The trio of singer/songwriters from Madison offers warm acoustic charm and intimate three-part harmonies. The secret of their multi-generational sound is the joy they bring to each other and the stage, five years of weekly practice in the stairwell because they liked the reverberation, and their shared belief that music has the power to transform and heal. Stairwell features clever and heartfelt originals and covers you know and love.
The Band Raddish will be opening the show. Raddish founders are Nick and Gracie Venechuk. Nick on guitar and vocals. Gracie on keyboards and vocals. Gracie developed her songwriting chops at the Berkeley College of Music in Boston.
