State of OUR Environment Listening Session
Central Library 201 W. Mifflin St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
press release: We know we (YOU!) can protect our natural resources for generations – because we’ve done it before! Because of conservation voters – like you – we fought off bad policy after bad policy. But we also know the fight is far from over. Contaminated drinking water, lakes and rivers without water, frac sand mining, and threats to public lands will continue next legislative session.
We need to be proactive. We need to organize. And we need to be unified and speak with one voice.
Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters staff will be touring 10 communities this summer, and we need to hear from you! What natural resource issues are you facing in your community? What do you see as the most important issues to tackle? How can we – from local organizations to statewide groups – partner collaboratively and strategically to win for conservation? Join fellow conservation-minded citizens and local organizations to weigh in and make sure your voice is heard.
Stick around for post-session informal drinks and discussion, location TBA.
Madison Listening Session: Monday, August 22nd, 6:00-7:30pm, Central Library
