State of the City
media release: Mayor Paul Esser will deliver his annual State of the City (SOTC) address with the first presentation airing on KSUN LIFE on Wednesday, January 22. SOTC presentations provide an opportunity to highlight major projects, plans, and initiatives from the past year while also featuring new ones for the upcoming year.
Several topics will be presented including the annual city budget, the Sun Prairie Public Library expansion, Downtown Sun Prairie developments, sustainability achievements, and other key initiatives. Community members will have various opportunities to attend and engage with the mayor.
The schedule of presentations is set for:
Talk of the Town: January 22 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., KSUN LIFE broadcast
January 30 at 10 a.m., Colonial Club (open to the public)
Rotary Club: February 4 at 7:00 a.m., Colonial Club (open to the public)
Optimist Club: February 5 at 12 p.m., Glass Nickel Pizza (open to the public)
February 24 at 5:30 p.m., Sun Prairie Public Library (open to the public)
This year’s theme, “Looking Beyond the Horizon,” emphasizes the City’s commitment to forward-thinking strategies, embracing future opportunities and challenges, and maintaining focus on the needs of the community.
“I look forward to the State of the City address as an opportunity for meaningful engagement with community members,” said Mayor Esser. “It is time to reflect on past achievements and discuss the future direction of Sun Prairie.”
