Salvatore's Tomato Pies presents Sunday Italian-American family-style dinner and "Godfather" screening
Sunday, March 6, 4 pm: Whew. This event wins for longest title. In a nutshell, this is going to be like “Sunday dinner at your Italian grandmother’s,” says chef Patrick DePula (Salvatore’s Tomato Pies). A five-course meal featuring local meats and cheeses, this event was dreamed up by DePula and Joe Gaglio (Gotham Bagels) and is meant to evoke the big Sunday dinners that they grew up enjoying. There will be octopus. And meatballs. And a screening of The Godfather Part I. Taking place at the historic Italian Workmens Club on Regent Street in the old Greenbush neighborhood, this event is a collaboration with DePula, Gaglio, Dan Bonanno (A Pig in a Fur Coat), Chris Ketarkus (43 North), Beth Pieters and John Jerabek (both with Sal’s). $40 for five courses with wine pairings available.
