This years music comes courtesy of one of 2018’s break out stars - Erin Rae, a indie singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, who has curated this years music after her recent record ‘Putting On Airs’, was recorded at nearby former monastery The Refuge and was lauded by NPR, Billboard Magazine and Paste amongst many others.
Performing at this years festival includes an incredible line up of talent, featuring rising stars across indie, folk, rock and Americana music scenes, including Erin Rae, Tristen, Nicole Atkins, Lilly Hiatt, Kashena Sampson, Coco Reilly, Ruby Boots, Field Report, The Savage Radley with even more to be announced soon.
Discussing the flagship event which has become one of the most significant live music events in the Wisconsin calendar, Erin Rae stated, “I am honoured to be involved in Tall Tales Festival and wanted to make sure the line up reflected the strong female led pool of songwriting talent which is coming out of Nashville and other cities around the US - we still need to shine a light on some of the challenges facing the female songwriting community and festivals like this and Brandi Carlile's event are definitely helping tip the balance back in the right direction ”
Festival director Patrick Sullivan stated, “It is a privilege to have Erin involved in the curation of the music this year - she has great ears and has bought an incredible range of artists to our attention. Our motto is live music, done right and feel every year we are getting closer to achieving that goal”.
