The Essential Christmas Carol

Storyteller and performer William Pack presents The Essential Christmas Carol at the Verona Public Library on Tuesday, December 6, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  In this storytelling lecture using a script derived from Dickens’ 1867 abridged reading copy, Pack will perform a reading of A Christmas Carol, enhanced with a modern recreation of a magic lantern slide show popular during Dickens’ lifetime.  Pack will also relate the curious origins behind this ever-popular story that has become a holiday classic.
