Community Care Weekends At The Forever Farm
April 23-24 * April 30-May 1 * May 14-15 * May 28-29 * June 4th
Saturdays from 9am-5pm * Sundays from 1-4pm
Are you looking for a sense of mission in your life? Give an hour or a whole weekend and our mission will become your own: supporting the nature-based, animal-assisted educational and therapy programs at The Forever Farm. Community Care Weekends include projects such as: maintaining the Nature Trail, enough painting to make Tom Sawyer beyond rich, repair & maintenance of farm machinery, carpentry projects, fencing, landscape garden planting, weed pulling in the Garden of Hope and much more. Whatever your skills: we have projects that could benefit from them. Please wear long pants, closed footwear and bring bug spray & sunscreen. Work gloves provided. Kids are welcome but adult must provide line-of-sight supervision at all times.
We LOVE groups of all shapes and sizes, ages and reasons for serving the community. Please share this email with your church, civic organizations and local American Legion & VFW / Auxilliaries. Please share this with military-connected persons who may know someone that could benefit from having a new mission to serve. Our vision includes having a VETERANS’ VOLUNTEER CORPS where veterans take charge of leadership and supportive roles required to get the farm ship-shape over the next year.
We also welcome anyone who wants to serve our mission on their own schedule. Please email Nikki at healinghorseman@aol.com to make arrangements.
