Gina Gómez wrote and directed The Guest Book, a Broom Street Theater comedy about a woman crashing her ex-fiance's wedding. As they say, save the date. Shows at 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday.
media release/Aug. 17 update: After a cast member's bout with Covid, Broom Street Theater is proud to announce that The Guest Book, written and directed by Gina M. Gómez, is back on again. All members of the cast are symptom-free and testing negative. Due to our small size, and close proximity to the performers, Broom Street Theater is still requiring that audience members remain masked and show vaccine cards at the door.
The show will now premiere August 18, with Kate Jajewski in the role of Sam. Stacey Garbarski will resume the role of Sam on August 19. The show will now run through September 3 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. All shows begin at 8pm.
Sam is looking for closure when she crashes her ex-fiance's wedding. Sam's ex-fiance and his sketchy cousin are just trying to move their family into more "legitimate" business. The servers are chaotic, and Sam's cousin has an agenda all her own.
The stellar cast includes Stacey Garbarski, Jessica Raphaela Kennedy, Matt Korda, Matt Franklinson, Noah Abrahamson, and Bernice Hein.
Online tickets cost $22. Walk-up tickets are always available the night of the show, and are always Pay-What-You-Can. See www.bstonline.org for details.
We'll see you on Willy Street!
