The Kissers
press release: press release: On March 17, 1998, in Madison, The Kissers played in a basement full of St Patrick's Day revelers. We played everything we knew: 25 Pogues songs. A couple months later we had the good fortune of landing the Monday night slot at the now legendary O'Cayz Corral, the predecessor to the High Noon Saloon.
Hundreds of thousands of miles, thousands of shows, hundreds of songs, 39 states, 19 members, and five albums later, we somehow are still a band.
THE YOUNG CELTS
To help celebrate The Kissers 20th anniversary, we are partnering with Madison Music Foundry to mentor a new generation of musicians. Called The Young Celts, this youth group will perform for the first time this March opening for us at The Madison Celtic Festival on March 9 and the High Noon Saloon on St Patrick's Day.
And on tap for all March shows will be The Kissers Monday Night Special by Tyranena Brewery. This double oatmeal stout aged in bourbon barrels is (according to the label) "inspired by the foot-stomping, fist-shaking music of The Kissers. Best enjoyed together."
