The Prairie Enthusiasts Work Day
Saturday, August 8, 2015 - 9 am to noon
Work Party at Black Earth Rettenmund Prairie
Black Earth Rettenmund Prairie State Natural Area is an outstanding prairie remnant owned by The Prairie Enthusiasts. This year the vegetation is flourishing (due to the great spring burns and excellent rainfall). Lots of flowers blooming - quite a sit to see! The Liatris, flowering spurge and many others will be in full bloom. There are weeds and brush to remove, which will help the prairie thrive.
