The Puppet
Music Theatre of Madison

Music Theatre of Madison, which has carved out a niche for under-the-radar musicals, continues its Festival of New Musicals with a staged reading of a show created by Madisonian Mark Wurzelbacher and Brian Davenport of Chicago. It’s a modern take on a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta imagining what the 2020 election might look like. Hint: It’s a satire, not a horror show. But these days, you never know.
press release: There is a suggested donation of $10 per person at the door. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase. Reservations are recommended and can be made at www.mtmadison.com/festival-of-new-musicals.
