The Spirit of Storytelling
Christ Presbyterian Church 944 E. Gorham St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
press release:Saturday, April 14, 9-11am, Christ Presbyterian Church 944 E. Gorham St.
We are surrounded by stories. In our daily conversations, at work, on NPR, in what gets told (and retold) at every family holiday--we are storytelling people.
This event will center on the meaning and power of storytelling. First, through a presentation and Q&A we’ll explore the role of stories in both spiritual and ordinary contexts--those in which Chelsea is most familiar and also your own. Then we’ll dialogue about what makes a good story and which stories are significant to us. Lastly, we’ll do some brainstorming, reflecting, and work on our own roles as people who hear and tell stories.
Free childcare is offered. Coffee, tea, and treats provided!
