The Stolen Sea will record their next album, Subject/Object, on public display at Arts & Literature Laboratory’s Education Studio (on third floor) in two 4-hour sessions over two days. Free admission, open to the public.
Session One: Saturday, March 22, 2025, 12:00pm–4:00pm
Session Two: Sunday, March 23, 2025, 12:00pm–4:00pm
The musicians will be the main art installation and participants will have the opportunity to create physical art in the same space, (using provided materials or BYO), engage in the music (during specific interactions), or simply observe how the Stolen Sea record this album, altering the overall outcome by simply being present. The project explores how the presence and energy of the audience influence the artistic process, blurring the lines between performer and spectator.
