press release: New Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway will join the HipHop Caucus for a special live episode of the Think 100% show to conclude EcoAdapt’s 4th National Adaptation Forum. Media is invited to attend “The Coolest Show on Climate Change” on April 25 in Ballroom A/B at Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center. The event is free and open to the Madison community.
From 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., HipHop Caucus hosts, Mayor Rhodes-Conway and other guests will discuss taking on the climate crisis and steps other communities are adopting to adapt and improve resiliency for future generations. The program will also focus on how young people are leading the movement for solutions to climate change and inequality. Hosts include Antonique Smith, Grammy-nominated singer, actress and activist; Mustafa Santiago Ali, vice president for environmental justice, climate and community revitalization at the National Wildlife Federation; and the Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., president and CEO of the HipHop Caucus.
The 4th National Adaptation Forum, taking place from April 23-25, 2019, is a gathering of the climate change adaptation community to foster knowledge exchange, innovation and mutual support for a better tomorrow. In the past more than 2,300 participants have attended the National Adaptation Forum representing all 50 states, all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, community groups, tribal groups, academia and private industry.
