press release: An experiment in collaborative social economics, known as Threshold, is brewing in the Atwood Neighborhood. Threshold is opening its doors and inviting the public to partake of what it has to offer.
In “Women Against Hate,” collaborating artists, Kelly Parks Snider, Rachael Griffin, and Leigh Garcia offer up a series of images which provoke conversation, providing a call to action. Threshold facilitator Surya Asija (yoga instructor and ayurvedic cook) and Madison Creperie owner, Elizabeth Crawford, will be on hand to give the community a taste of their talents!
“We are thrilled to host this Open House,” said Efrat Livny, Threshold’s Envisioner and Founder. “The art and its collaborative expression, are perfectly in-tune with the energy that Threshold seeks to cultivate.”
Founded in 2015, Threshold serves as an environment for collective creativity and celebration. The venue hosts art, bodywork practices, community singing, private parties, and more.
“We believe it takes a village to make a village.” Said Threshold Events Specialist, Ashleigh Smiley. “It is my sincere hope that all those who attend the festivities will take what they need from this place, and return often.”
The Open House will be held, Tuesday, February 27th, 5-7pm at Threshold, 2717 Atwood Avenue. Sweet crepes, tea, and more will be served. The event is family friendly, free, and open to the public.
