Kaleidoscope refers to the ‘viewing of beautiful forms.’ The images in this exhibit represent current efforts to create original abstract images sharing characteristics found in several abstract art motifs, particularly geometric abstraction. The exhibit features images employing photography’s objectivity in the creation of wholly non-representational compositions that exert their impact without reference to specific, recognizable objects. The objective of this work has been the creation of distinctive abstract images that belie, or at the very least disguise, the “photographic” nature of the starting material. The collection is a celebration of color, forms, freedom and imagination.
