Tim Mulcahy

press release: Tim specializes in an abstract architectural style called  "archistract". The opening reception is this Thursday, January 7th, at 7 pm, at the PhotoMidwest Studio, 303 South Paterson St.

Tim described his exhibit as being, "At the intersection of abstract and architectural photography.  They are representative of an emergent genre of photography recently dubbed "archistract". Favoring abstraction over representation, and subjectivity over objectivity, archistract photography typically emphasizes portions of the architectural whole using a visual vernacular of lines, geometric shapes, patterns, light and shadow to create unique images founded on architectural relationships but free of architecture's need to make visual, if not functional, sense."
