Trinity Academy of Irish Dance
Verona Library 500 Silent St., Verona, Wisconsin 53593
press release: In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day and to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance is hosting free dance lessons and performances throughout the Greater Madison area March 13 and 14 -- and will be making special appearances at citywide holiday events.
The community is invited to meet the dancers and teachers at the lessons (below) and dancers will sign autographs, pose for selfies with aspiring young Irish dancers, teach attendees a couple of steps, as well as perform.
These fun-filled events will also feature prize giveaways including a grand-prize: FREE Intro to Irish Dance (12-week spring course) and a FREE Taste of Trinity (4-Day Summer Camp). It will also offer prospective beginner dancers (3.5-10 years old) and their families an opportunity to learn how Trinity has been making a positive difference in the lives of thousands of area boys and girls.
“Doing well competitively is the least of what drives our students,’’ said Trinity Academy of Irish Dance co-owner and director, Natalie Howard. “Through our March celebrations, we expose Madisonians, who are not familiar with the Trinity story, to the positive impact our program – through dance instruction, mentoring and friendships – can have on the lives of our youth and our community.”
“We believe that our students do not always have to win in dance, but they do need to win in school, their careers and life,’’ said Trinity’s head team coach Anne Blume. “Every Trinity dancer and parent that has ever stepped into our studios knows the life lessons we teach extend well beyond the classroom or competitive arena. We are so pleased to introduce them to the community through our performances and free lessons.”
