UW Space Place Open House

media release: This Friday 15 May, 1:00 until 4:00 pm, and Saturday 16 May 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, we will open the UW Space Place exhibit hall to visitors. There will be no specific programs, simply an open house for those who would like to visit our extensive exhibits on Wisconsin’s astronomical legacy from its earliest days to the Space Age. Free and open to the public, of course.

We deeply regret to announce that owing to budget cuts at both state and federal levels, UW Space Place will close its doors permanently this spring (exact date yet to be determined) after nearly 36 years of astronomy and space science outreach. The upcoming open house sessions will probably be the last chances for the public to visit Space Place before its final closure.
